Also thought I would share some loot from a prize I won recently in a contest run by Fuji at
The Chronicles of Fuji blog. In all 13 readers won prized in a drawing after answering a ton of cool hobby related questions. I wasn't able to answer all the questions but did participate in most and was lucky enough to pick up 3 graded football cards.
A nice Gem Mint 10 Edgerrin James. Edge was a very impressive running back for a number of years and is primarily known for his time with the Colts, who drafted him high in the first round. Very cool looking card in my opinion.
Next up is a 76 Topps Randy Gradishar. Gradishar played at Ohio State who has a long history of producing NFL linebackers. He actually finished 6th in the Heisman voting his senior year which is pretty impressive for a defensive player. Randy was drafted 14th overall by the Broncos and played 10 years for them. I really enjoy this card, 76 was a couple years before I got into football card collecting so I always enjoy picking up cards from before my collecting time.
Finally a Bowman Chrome Ryan Leaf rookie card. Could you imagine the excitement of pulling this card back when it first came out? I am happy to add it to my collection, it will most likely be a keeper for me. I always like cards with a cool story behind it and winning this in a contest connected with the story of Ryan Leaf is a winner to me.
